Originally elected to serve a four-year term as Alderman from 12/08/11 to 12/10/15. He was re-elected for another four-year term from 12/10/15 to 12/12/19.  He was elected to serve a two-year term as Mayor from 12/12/19- to 12/09/21. He was re-elected to serve a second two-year term as Mayor from 12/09/21 to 12/14/23.

Mayor Mills lived at Wrightsville Beach as a child and returned after college working to save money to go to law school. He has permanently resided at Wrightsville Beach since 1995. He graduated from Greene County Central High School in June, 1972. He graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a Bachelor's Degree in May, 1976 and from UNC-Chapel Hill School of Law in May, 1983. Mayor Mills has his own law firm, F. Darryl Mills, PLLC. He has a daughter, a son, and a grandson. His favorite pastimes include enjoying the beach, spending time with his family, reading and traveling.

Elected to serve a four-year term from 12/17/13 to 12/14/17. He was re-elected to serve another four-year term from 12/14/17 to 12/09/21. He was re-elected to serve a third four-year term from 12/09/21 to 12/11/25. He was elected by the Board on 1/12/19 to serve as Mayor Pro Tem and was re-elected by the Board to serve as Mayor Pro Tem on 12/08/21.

Mayor Pro Tem Miller lived at Wrightsville Beach from 1964 to 1966. He has been a permanent resident of Wrightsville Beach since 1983. He graduated from Cape Fear Academy in 1980 and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 1985 with a BS Degree.  He is President of M&N Construction Supply and a Senior Broker at Cape Fear Commercial.  He is married to Maggie Andrews Miller and they have two children. His favorite pastimes include traveling, reading and walking the Loop.

Elected to serve a four-year term as Alderman from 12/14/17 to 12/09/21. He was re-elected to serve a second four-year term from 12/09/21 to 12/11/25.

Alderman Dull grew up in High Point, NC and moved to Wilmington in 1987. He has been a permanent resident of Wrightsville Beach since 1988. He graduated from NC State University with a degree in Civil Engineering. He is the owner of McKinley Building Corporation. He served on the New Hanover County Planning Board (serving as Chairman for two years) and on the City of Wilmington Planning Commission (serving as Chairman for part of that time). He also maintains positions in many other civic, professional and religious organizations, including the Cape Fear Rotary Club. He is married to Vikki and they have 2 children. His favorite pastimes include boating and golfing.

Alderman Partin has owned property on Wrightsville Beach since 1987 and has been a permanent resident since 2003. She graduated from NC State University with a degree in Economics and Accounting and previously held an active CPA license. She has a 31-year career with the State of North Carolina holding positions as Assistant State Controller and NC Department of Transportation as Chief Financial Officer. She received the prestigious ORDER OF THE LONG LEAF PINE at her retirement. She also had a career in technology sales and services. She served on the Wrightsville Beach Planning Board until her election as Alderman.

Other community volunteer involvement includes: New Hanover County ABC Board (former chair), Harbor Island Garden Club, and the Airlie Gardens Foundation Board (former President). She is married to Joe Partin and they have one adult daughter, Elizabeth Smith, and two grandchildren who live in Wilmington. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, boating, exercising and traveling.
